Chris Bryant: SS/RHP, (2022) Twinsburg, OH. 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic frame. Solid at the plate, Bryant recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. (60.46 mph bat speed average). (20.65 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, used a simple short swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls during his round. Solid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 82 mph; has soft hands, a natural exchange, and quick fluid feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.26.

Chris Bryant: SS/RHP, (2022) Twinsburg, OH. 5-foot-10, 165-pound. Solid during batting practice, Bryant had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, uses a simple short swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels in his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 82 mph; had sure soft hands, a quick natural exchange, and athletic footwork. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.25 in the 60-yard dash.

Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was above average, showed a simple short swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels in his round. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 82 mph; showed sure soft hands, a quick natural exchange, and athletic feet. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.25.

Chris Bryant: SS/RHP, (2022) Twinsburg, OH. 5-foot-10, 163-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Bryant recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then used a leg kick. Has average bat speed and level swing plane. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 81 mph; showed quick athletic feet, a developing exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.38. On the mound, showed a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-81 mph; showed running action and arm side control. Shows a 11/5 curveball (69-71) with plus action. His changeup (70-71) has fading action and arm side command.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Uses a leg kick timing trigger during backload to hands. Path is efficient and he has a feel for contact. Quick hands with developing strength.
Power:Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection:Top of lineup.
Max BP Exit:83 mph
Max BP Distance:269 ft
Field:In the infield he plays with a smooth tempo and above average ball skills. Feet work well, allowing for consistent rhythm and the ability to throw from multiple angles/on the move.
Throw:Clean arm. Accurate thrower.
Defensive Projection:Multiple positions.

2/23/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes:Right handed pitcher. Smooth slightly uptempo delivery with loose, quick arm action from a ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: 75-77mph.Fastball shows regular arm side action.
Breaking Ball: 65-68mph.Sharp 11/5 break, with shape.
Changeup: 67-70mph.Was able to main arm speed, with subtle fade. 

2/23/20 Position Player
Hit:Right handed hitter. Starts in a narrow, more upright balanced stance with a slight knee bend. Loading sequence is simple as he utilizes a short stride for timing, while having a slightly downhill bat path through the zone.
Power: 83 mph tee ev. Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Table setter.
Field: Worked out as a SS. Sound glove instincts with above average ball skills and soft hands. Also displays athleticism and solid footwork.
Throw: 77 mph arm across the INF.
Defensive Projection:MIF

2/14/19

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame.

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance from the right side of the plate. Goes with a short stride for timing during back load to hands.

Hit: Front foot launch with a slightly downhill path to contact. Contact type bat presently with a bit more speed than strength to hands currently but still very young. Should see easy gains in pop as physical maturation takes its course.

Power: 80 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with much more to come.

Offensive Projection: Top of Lineup.

Run: 4.87 H-1st.

Field: Athletic feet with well above average ball skills. Knows what he’s doing out there and looks to be sure-handed.

Throw: 67 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Defensive Projection: 3B.

 

2/14/19 Pitching

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145 pounds. Average build with room to fill in.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Released out of a ¾ arm slot with loose arm action that got a little extended away from body at times. Upbeat tempo in motion. Mechanics showed smoother actions overall. Actions connect well for this young righty.

Fastball: 71-74 mph. Glove-side run to this pitch out of the windup showing more arm-side run out of the stretch position. Average command currently.

Curveball: 62-64 mph. Higher break to this pitch with 11-4 action. Showed some sharper bite in a few tosses later in outing. Will be a solid pitch as he develops it further.

Changeup: 62-63 mph. Slows arm down through release. Developing pitch currently.

Pitchability: Young righty with plenty of time for growth and development these next few years. Accuracy and movement on all pitches are playable with progression coming as he develops consistency in arm speed and release point.

Role: TBD.
