Body Type: 5-foot-11, 150-pound athletic frame. Swing Mechanics: Open stance with a simple toe tap load that keeps his hands loose and loaded through contact. Hit: Slightly downhill bat path with works inside the baseball well, and goes to all fields. Presently quicker than he is strong but much more physical maturation left. Power: Line drive guy right now. Top exit velocity off the bat in BP was 73.5. Offensive Projection: TBD. Field: Aggressive defender in the outfield. Plays with bounce to his step and confidence through fielding sequence. Athletic look to him. Also worked out in the infield. Plays light on his feet, taking direct routes to the baseball. Looks to be sure-handed. Simple, yet efficient actions. Throw: Over the top right-hander with average strength and present accuracy. Defensive Projection: OF/2B.
2/9/19 Body Type: 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Taller, thin athlete. Swing Mechanics: Upright stance with a leg kick timing trigger as barrel travels to a vertical launch. Hit: Compact stroke on a downhill path to contact. Swing offers more strength than speed presently but has more physical maturing to go. Worked nicely through a middle-away approach. Shows feel for contact, running into the barrel consistently. Power: Line drive guy who will grow into gap abilities. 67 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Ball Mover. Run: 7.48 60-yard dash. Field: Aggressive defender with fluid actions in the outfield. Mechanically sound with above average ball skills. Solid showing out there. Also worked out in the infield where he showed a playable skill set. Athletic on the move with solid glove skills. Looks to be a reliable defender. Throw: Loose/clean arm with present strength and more to come. 72 mph across the diamond and 79 mph to home plate. Defensive Projection: Athletic kid with ball skills. How foot speed develops will likely determine future position. 2B look to him in the infield.
2/9/19 Body Type: 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Taller, thin athlete. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Releases out of a higher ¾ arm slot with shorter amr action out of his delivery. Provides a slower paced tempo in his motion up to his high point then picks up the tempo and he goes to work downhill. Fastball: 72-76 mph. Not much movement on it right now and was kept in the upper part of the zone. Curveball: 59-60 mph. Higher breaker with some 10-5 tilt. Command was there but not consistent. Changeup: 65-66 mph. Playable action for now. Grip seemed to be improving. Pitchability: Has a nice build for his class and has plenty of room to fill out his body over the coming years. Fastball was his most effective pitch. Off-speed pitches are working on maintaining similar arm speed as his fastball to create more movement and consistency. Role: TBD for now.
