2/12/17
6-foot-1, 210-pound frame. Romel has a physical presence on the mound accompanied by a delivery that is mechanically efficient. His arm works well through a high-¾ slot with a heavy fastball that was anywhere from 85-86 mph, showing the ability to move the pitch around the strike zone. And, both of his secondary offerings are well above average, highlighted by his very sharp breaking ball.

6/8/15
6-foot, 190-pound athletic body frame. On the mound he throws using regular effort, but not a whole lot. He has a straight up and down leg kick, while using simple, repeatable mechanics. He lands in a straight line, even at foot strike, with his foot turned more closed. He finishes with his momentum carrying towards home plate. He throws with a clean arm action, using quicker arm speed, from a ¾ slot. Uses a three-pitch mix. His fastball was between 84-86 mph with life. He threw his curveball at 70-71 mph at a 1/7 plane, needs to stay on top of the pitch. Has a good feel for a changeup that he threw using fastball arm speed at 71-73 mph.

11/2/14
6-foot, 187-pound athletic build. On the mound the southpaw showed the ability to throw three pitches for consistent strikes and feel. He has a simple, repeatable delivery with an easy arm and a fastball that sits 80-82. Breaking ball has good speed and solid 1/7 break at 69-72 mph. His changeup with good arm action sits 72-73 mph with sink.

7/29/14
6-foot, 185-pound average build. Left-handed pitcher throws using a clean arm action through a ¾ slot. His delivery requires regular effort with average armspeed. His fastball was between 81-83 mph. Curveball was thrown at 1/7 tilt with descent depth and signs of late sharp break 67-70 mph.
