David Jimenez: OF/RHP, (2023) Defiance, OH. 6-foot, 160-pound. Athletic at the plate, Jimenez recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Began in a tall open stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short stride. He found some barrels in his round. Line drive approach. Capable in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 85 mph; had smooth footwork, a lengthy exchange, and sure hands. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.2. On the mound, curveball (72-74 mph), changeup (73-74 mph). Threw his fastball 77-80 mph.
David Jimenez: OF/RHP, (2023) Defiance, OH. 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Began in an open athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is quick and displays a level swing plane. Above average his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 84 mph; shows soft hands, fluid athletic feet, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball one hand. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.04. On the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph; has running action and arm side control. His 11/5 curveball (66-67) showed gradual action. Had arm side command and fading action on his changeup (70-72).
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Loose, whippy stroke that generates flight line to line. Efficient path allows for consistent backspin. Solid bat to follow.
Power: Natural tools are above average for class. Showed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 90mph.
Max BP Distance: 344ft.
Field: Fluid, easy footwork throughout sequence in the outfield.
Throw: Clean arm that will continue to add velo with maturity.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
Scouting Notes: Talented 2023 with two-way potential. Smooth delivery with athletic movement patterns on the mound. Arm is clean/on time. Shows all the signs of more velocity in the tank. Fastball presently sits in the mid to upper 70s and he spins an 11/5 shaped breaker with gradual action.
Fastball: 76-78mph.

Hit: Right handed hitter. Has a more upright and open stance in the box, with a slight knee bend. Loading sequence is simple and effective for regular timing. Level bat path through the zone and was able to generate backspin on several occasions.
Power: 84 mph tee ev. Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Field: Worked out as a 3B. Smooth, fluid actions in the field with soft hands. Displayed athleticism when moving laterally.
Throw: 76 mph arm across the infield. Developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: 3B
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 145-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Smooth load into his lower half that engages his hands well.
Hit: Level bat path that works inside the baseball well and goes to all fields.
Power: Line drive guy right now. Topped at 83.1 mph off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Rangy defender in the infield with smoothness to his actions. Hands are on par for class, looking sure-handed to either side.
Throw: Accurate arm with solid strength.
Defensive Projection: Left side of infield.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 145-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Average tempo delivery with a slight hitch at the top. Throws from a ¾ slot with some effort. Stays downhill and towards the plate through release.
Fastball: 71-75 mph. Downhill with some arm side movement. More velocity to come as he fills out.
Curveball: 64-65 mph. 11-5 shape tight spin with some depth.
Changeup: 67-68 mph. Thrown with fastball like arm speed. Shows some developing fade.
Pitchability: In and out of the zone. Could be more effective by staying on top of the ball.

Jimenez has a small, thin frame at 5-foot-9, 130-pounds. He uses a high leg kick to use some of his lower half however, he could use his legs more to add velo. The righty throws from a ¾ arm slot and throws his Fastball between 70-74 mph. His off-speed consists of a 58-61 mph Curveball that breaks with 11/5 action and a CH thrown at 58-60 mph. As Jimenez continues to grow he will benefit from using more of his lower half and keeping his arm speed consistent with all 3 of his pitches. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup before getting into his fluid, simple loading sequence. A contact type hitter that takes a slightly downhill path to contact. Swing offers a similar amount of strength and speed through the zone. A young kid with feel for the barrel. Should see easy increases in pop as he adds strength with his efficient swing. Stood out for infield play. Obvious athleticism out there with a quick first step. Plays fast without compromising fluidity. Ball skills are far ahead of the curve for his class. True middle infield skill set at this stage. Young, talented ball player to follow.

Very projectable frame with long limbed and room to add. Works with a slower paced tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require a ton of effort. Uses a chest high leg lift before his drop and drive load. Arm action is longer through a high-¾ slot. Ball comes out well with his fastball sitting 64-66 mph, touching 68 twice. Will need to improve command of the offering. A candidate for more velocity as he adds strength to frame. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with some bite and solid depth at 58-60 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed at 60-63 mph. The pitch offers both run and dive. Both secondary offerings projects as above average pitches. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Keeps hands quiet during his leg kick load. Launches form a balanced position and takes a mostly level path to the baseball. Bat is stronger than it is fast but bat speed is also an adequate tool. A line drive type with enough juice to find the gaps. A rangy infielder with a third baseman’s frame. Plays fast too and shows above average ball skills through fielding. An above average defender for class in general.
