Dayne Schlagetter: C, (2025) Vandalia Butler, OH. 6-foot, 155-pound mature athletic frame. Begins in an athletic crouched stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short leg kick. Bat speed was above average, had a level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found lots of barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While catching, he made throws to second at velocities up to 72 mph. Capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 75 mph; had consistent footwork, sure hands, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. While catching, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 72 mph; had a pop time of 2.20-2.26. Used a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.
