Defensively, he was very impressive at first base during the workout. A well above average athlete for the position that plays fluidly off the bag. Footwork is textbook and glove was impressive. Projects to be an above average defender at the next level. A fluid swinger from the right-side that incorporates a barrel tip and leg kick during his loading sequence. Barrel has some whip to it through the zone with above average bat speed. Ball comes off his bat well, showing the ability to create backspin to both sides of the field.
