6/6/17
A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Has a fluid tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with quickness to his arm. Consistently threw his 79-81 mph fastball for a strike and challenged hitters with it. Rarely went to his secondary offerings but showed a breaking ball and a change-up. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with signs of sharpness at 71-72 mph. Change-up has a fastball look to it out of the hand with some fade to it at 74-75 mph.

6-foot-4, 193-pound prospect. The fastball comes out of the hand easy and sat 81-83 mph with sink. His best pitch may be his curveball, thrown at 69-73 mph with 11/5 action. Was able to maintain fastball arm speed on his changeup that showed late sink. A strong kid with well above average bat speed. Uses a leg lift for timing. Hands move to launch before taking a flat path to the ball. Barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly. Showed gap to gap pop with power potential in there. Would like to see his barrel in the zone longer to produced more consistent hard contact. Has the tools to be a middle of the order guy. Defensively, he has a tendency to field the ball like an infielder in the outfield. Will be aided by consistently fielding the ball to the outside of his glove side and maintaining momentum through his throws. Still, shows impressive raw arm strength. Projects as a corner outfield type.
