2/14/19

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 165-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Left-handed bat with a very fluid, efficient loading sequence.
Hit: Energy filled swing that runs into contact often. Path really plays, entering the zone early and stays through contact. Power: 91 mph exit velocity with more to come.
Offensive Projection: Higher average guy who has run producer potential once he fills out.
Run: 4.57 H-1st.

7/24/18

One of the top hit tools at the event, taking a strong BP and recording multiple hits in game. Athletic, fluid movements to load, leading to a balanced launch. Impressive feel for the barrel with an all fields approach. Consistently squared up the baseball with easy backspin. Line drive guy right now with a rotational lower half. Will flash gap abilities. Smooth defender in the outfield. Feet work well and he plays through cleanly. Arm is accurate with respectable strength. Loose arm action that projects for more strength down the road.

Exit Velocity: 88

6/05/18

A lefty swinger at the plate with a simple loading sequence. Hands are loose and swing shows obvious whip through the zone. Very efficient swing in general. Line drive guy with much more to come as he adds strength. Definite bat to follow. Actions are fluid and easy in the outfield. Functionally athletic enough to play multiple spots.

Outfield Velocity: 78
Exit Velocity: 87

5/29/18

Very smooth actions on both sides of the ball. Swing is efficient and fluid. A line drive swinger that generates natural backspin. A functional athlete with the ball skills for all three spots. How he develops physically will likely determine how big of a prospect he becomes. In the outfield he plays with mechanically sound, fluid feet. Shows feel for the position with ball skills that play in all three spots. Looks the part. How dynamic he becomes/foot speed comes along with maturity will likely determine future destination position wise.

Outfield Velocity: 79
Exit Velocity: 84

2/16/18

5-foot-11, 155 pound outfield prospect has a lean frame and showed a nice glove defensively. Gets around the ball well and footspeed was above average. Collins carries nice momentum into his throws displaying his strong arm with an accurate, 80 mph position velocity. A lefty swinger with fluid/athletic actions in the box. Lower half creates regular timing/energy while keeping hands noticeably loose through load into launch. Generates easy barrel whip through the zone with feel for squaring the ball up. A line drive guy now that has a chance to be dynamic if he can add burst and strength with physical maturity.

Outfield Velocity: 80
Exit Velocity: 80

7/05/17

A left-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Starts off balanced, with a high rhythmic leg kick. Explosive swing with a fluid barrel that sticks through the zone. Swings with intent and is comfortable going to both gaps on the field. Load creates a lot of torque which is where a lot of his power comes from. Solid athletic swing with much more to come as he continues to develop. In the outfield he looks confident and athletic. Mechanically sound with obvious feel for the position. Ball skills are advanced for his age. Plays through the baseball with ease and maintains momentum into his throws. Looks to be a talented defender.

Home-1st: 4.38
