Notes

Comments

1/21/19 Pitching
Body: 5-foot-9 175-pound prospect with above average physicality for his age.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uses a quick tempo, balanced through the lift with level shoulders and good direction working out of a ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: 77-79 mph fastball that shows regular arm side run to both sides of the plate.
Curveball: 66-68 mph curveball works on an 11/5 tilt with tight spin and developing depth.
Changeup: 70-73 mph changeup is his best secondary offering. Creates deception with good arm speed and late fade.
Pitchability: Shows good command of all three of his offerings. Uses both sides of the plate with the fastball. Breaking ball needs to tighten up a bit, but once it does it has the making of an out pitch.
Role: Current command and stuff could play in both a starter or backend roles. Continuing to sharpen all of his pitches as well as maturing physically will be key moving forward.

1/21/19
Body Type: 5-foot-9 175-pound prospect with above average physicality for his age.
Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Uses a back load with hands during short stride for timing.
Hit: Much cleaned up since we saw him last. Path is much cleaner, showing more feel for the barrel.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity. Uber physical for class. Natural tools are advanced. Gap to gap with emerging power.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 7.27 60-yard dash.
Field: Look the part in the outfield. Obvious athleticism to actions with feel for the position.
Throw: 80 mph arm strength to home plate. Arm works with present accuracy/strength and more velo to come down the road. Definite follow.
Defensive Projection: CF/LF.

1/15/18

Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. A good athlete who moves with fluidity in the infield. Reacts well and has a quick first step. Ball skills are above average for class. Threw across the infield with 73 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Pre-launch movements are simple and repeatable. Barrel launches from a vertical position, creating early acceleration and whip through the zone. Strength and bat speed are both well above average tools for class. Possess present barrel jump and the ability to drive the gaps. Top exit velocity was 88 mph. On the mound the right-hander maintains tempo throughout a delivery that requires some effort. Strength/arm speed are on parr for class while arm travels through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows slight run while sitting 71-75 mph. Spins a gradually breaking, 11/5 shaped curveball at 58-62 mph. Also offers a changeup, near fastball arm speed at 65-68 mph.

11/18/17

A good athlete with a very impressive frame for his class. Has some rawness to his game but his athleticism and natural tools make him a very interesting prospect. At the plate he has a much louder combination of strength and bat speed than his 75 mph exit velocity would indicate. An all fields hitter who flashed signs of power potential to his pull side. In the infield he plays fast and with obvious confidence in his glove. Could create more angles in pre fielding footwork. Has some urgency to his transfer and threw with accuracy across the infield.
