Scouting Notes: A lot to like here. 6-foot-1 power arm that was up to 86mph with a sharp breaking ball. We have reports of him up to 89 mph summer. Potential scholarship arm that will put college coaches in the stands.
Fastball: 84-86mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1897-2116
Breaking Ball: 72-73mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1863-1940

1/20/20

Hit: Athletic movements to loading sequence. Ball jumps off. Impressive strength/bat speed combination. Physical round with pull side pop.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 85.9
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 309
Field: In the infield he shows decent hands with a fairly quick release and average footwork.
Defensive Projection: 2B/3B

1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Moves with quicker tempo. Quiet actions. Very compact arm action with well above average arm speed.
Fastball: Ball comes out well. Fastball jumps out of the hand. Heavier than radar gun would suggest. 78-79 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1700-1900
Curveball: One of the better breakers we saw on the day with both slider / curve being impressive. Late, hard bite on the slider. Some present swing and miss to curveball.. 65-68 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1900-2100
Changeup: Solid offering. Late dive to it with decent sell. 72-73 mph.
Pitchability: In the zone for the most part.

1/21/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot-1 170-pound prospect with a projectable frame.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Starts with an athletic base, slight pause coming out of a chest high lift. Creates deception with a high glove side. Uses a short arm action working from a ¾ slot.

Fastball: 75-78 mph fastball is easy out of the hand with slight run to the arm side.

Curveball: 64-65 mph breaking ball shows some depth and sharpness on an 11/5 tilt.

Changeup: 73-74 mph changeup was mostly straight. Keeps some deception with fastball like arm speed.

Pitchability: Delivery has some funk to it and creates a good amount of deception. Shows above average feel for all three offerings. Breaking ball looks to be a future out pitch. Change is still developing but currently playable.

Role: All signs point to a future starter here. Nice feel for three pitches, good frame that projects for future velocity jumps.

1/21/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1 170-pound prospect with a projectable frame.

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance from the right side. Leg kick initiates movement as barrel has some rhythm as it travels to a vertical launch position.

Hit: Aggressive swing with an in/out path. Hands are quick through the zone with some strength at contact for sure. Backspin to opposite field. Hands can get tied up at times. Once path levels out he should see easy increases in pop/backpin to both gaps. Ball jumps when squared.

Power: 81 mph exit velocity. Present gap abilities with more to come.

Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.

Run: 8.14 60-yard dash.

Field: Worked out at third base where he attacked the baseball off the bat linearly. Actions have some athleticism to them and ball skills are on par for class.

Throw: 72 mph arm strength across the infield. Shorter, clean arm action. Ball comes out easy and throws were accuracy.
