Evan Hatfield: RHP/1B, (2022) Strongsville, OH. 6-foot-2, 195-pound athletic frame. On the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 73-78 mph; shows arm side control and running action. Throws a 11/5 curveball (57-58) that has gradual action. Has fading action and arm side control on his changeup (68-68).
6-foot-2, 195-pound body frame with long limbs. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery using a straight up and down leg lift landing in a straight line at foot strike with his momentum carrying toward home plate. Has some quickness to his arm speed through an upper ¾ slot. Fastball was true thrown between 73-76 mph. Curveball has an 11/5 shape with good depth and mostly gradual break at 63-69 mph. Slider has good shape and tighter break than the curveball, with sinking action giving hitters a different look at a breaking pitch. Throws his changeup near fastball arm speed at 64-67 mph.

Delivery Notes:Ideal pitchers frame with long limbs and higher waist. Easy delivery with looseness to arm. Should only get better with maturity.
Fastball: Easy velocity. Mostly true through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate:1830-1860
Curveball: 11/5 offering with good spin and some depth. Also spins a slider that runs into a breaking ball plane. Due to tightness the slider looked to be the better of the two breakers on this day but similar pitches.
Curveball Spin Rate: 2120-2160
Changeup: Playable offering that he has decent feel for.
Pitchability: In/out.

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 180-pound projectable frame with room to add.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall stance. Fluid load that creates balance.
Hit: Lower effort swing on a downhill path. Has some feel for the barrel. Produced low line drives and ground balls for the most part in BP.
Power: 77 mph exit velocity. Swing offers more strength than speed presently. Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle of Lineup.
Run: 4.56 H-1st.
Field: In the infield he plays with quick, fluid feet. Ball skills are developing/can get to heels at times. Corner infield frame/skill set.
Throw: Gains ground post fielding before tossing it across the infield with accuracy for the most part. 75 mph arm strength across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: 1B/3B.
2/2/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 180-pound projectable frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Easy, fluid delivery that he can repeat. Tall and fall guy that lands on line to home plate at foot strike. Long/loose arm action through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 68-70 mph. Pitch shows regular cut through the zone. WIth his size and clean arm expect more velocity down the road.
Curveball: 45-49 mph. 11/5, gradually breaking curveball. More spin than action at this stage.
Changeup: 59-64 mph. The more developed of his two secondary offerings. Maintains arm speed on the offering that has a fastball look out of the hand before showing some late sink.
