7/11/18
In the outfield shows mechanically sound actions with good reads off the bat. Plays through the ball well. Reach a top velocity of 83 mph through a ¾ slot. Profiles as a corner OF type. A righty swinger that starts in a tall, open setup. Load is athletic with well timed movements. Front foot hitter that takes a downhill path to contact. Intent driven swing that offers gap pop. Doesn’t get cheated up there. Line drive guy with authority to pull side.
60-yard dash: 6.9
Infield Velocity: 83
Exit Velocity: 88

In the infield, he plays with proper footwork. Hands are soft receiving the ball. Funnels the ball to his waist before throwing. Throws from a 3/4 slot with average arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Barrel gets vertical during his toe turn load. Path is level with noticeable barrel whip through the zone. A strong kid with above average bat speed. Swings with intent and produced consistent hard contact. A line drive guy presently with gap ability. Should grow into more pop as he fills out his athletic frame. On the mound the right-hander has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Stays tall at balance point and lands slightly open at foot strike. Arm is clean and has some whip to it. Work through a high-3/4 slot with above average arm speed. Arm action is slinging putting natural run on his fastball. Fastball gets out of his hand well and is heavy. His go to secondary offering was his breaking ball. The curveball was sharp with some depth to it. Works on a 10/4 plane, and could be used a setup and put away pitch. Also showed a slider that had similar sharpness as his breaker, with depth across the plate. Changeup was playable, using near fastball arm speed. The offering has late run and dive to it.

5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect. Ran a 4.85 from home to first. At the plate he starts tall before using a short stride for timing. Hands move to a strong launch position during stride. Bat gets through the zone with some bat speed. Swing is short and compact. A contact type guy that consistently finds the barrel. Produced line drives to the middle of the field during BP. Top exit velocity was 81 mph. In the infield he has quick footwork and does a nice job of playing through the ball. Glove skills are there. Threw across the infield with 76 mph arm strength. On the mound he showed off a three-pitch mix working through a high-¾ slot. Fastball was 78-81 mph with run at times. Breaking ball had an 11/5 shape with gradual break at 63-65 mph. Also mixed in a changeup near fastball arm speed.
