RHP/1B, (2023) Boardman, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound solid lengthy frame. Solid on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-83 mph. Has tight slight running action. (Max spin 1972; Avg 1849). His 11/5 curveball (69-71) had sweeping action. (Max spin 1917; Avg 1706). He shows fading action on his changeup (75-76).
: RHP/1B, (2023) Boardman, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound. Solid on the mound, showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with downhill shoulders. Lands square with recoil finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 83-85 mph. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2070; Avg 1952). His 11/5 curveball (73-74) showed slight sweeping action. (Max spin 2012; Avg 1892). He shows some fading action on his changeup (80-80).
Gavin Hyde: RHP/SS, (2023) Boardman, OH. 6-foot, 171-pound athletic frame. On the mound, has a ¾ arm angle with good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 79-82 mph; shows running action and glove side command. His 11/5 curveball (65-67) had gradual action. His changeup (71-72) shows arm side control and fading action. Shows a 11/5 slider (67-70) with plus action.
Hit: Physical presence in the box from the right side. Athletic load that leads to a balanced launch. Doesn't get cheated up there. Rotational sequence with a downhill path to contact. Worked all fields in BP with low line drive to ground ball flight for the most part.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 78mph.
Max BP Distance: 214ft.
Field: Fluid actions with an idea of what to do with his feet in the infield. Ball skills look to be ahead of the curve for class.
Throw: Uses multiple slots, easy release.
Defensive Projection: 3B/2B.
Scouting Notes: Three-pitch RHP with feel for the zone. Easy delivery that he can repeat. Fastball was true, beaker had big shape and changeup showed good sell.
Fastball: 76-78mph.

Field: Active feet in the infield allowing himself to move fluidly through the ball. Sound glove instincts.
Throw: 70 mph across the infield

2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Keeps the same arm action and arm speed throwing all three pitches. He is going to let hitters get themselves out. As he starts to mature more you should see him velocity go up.
Fastball: Topped at 74 mph, mostly true through the zone with occasional arm side run.
Curveball: Between 61-65 mph, solid spin, slurvish look to it, big break.
Changeup: 67-68 mph, serviceable third offering.
