RHP/1B, (2023) Salem, OH. 6-foot-3, 215-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Has a strong balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square with recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 82-86 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2307; Avg 2192). His 11/5 curveball (69-72) has slight sweeping action. (Max spin 2257; Avg 2241). Showed a 10/4 slider (74-75) with late tight action. (Max spin 2498; Avg 2458).
Gavin Wilms: RHP/1B, (2023) Salem High School, OH. 6-foot-2, 220-pound. During batting practice, Wilms's best exit velocity was 95 mph. (65.4 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then used a small leg kick. Had present bat speed, simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish.
