Tends to wind up in his transfer. Recorded pop times between 2.00 to 2.06 with accuracy to his throws. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows consistent contact with power potential in his swing. Takes slight uphill path. Good bat speed through the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 88 mph off the tee. Squared up the baseball to all fields. Ran a 4.86 out of the box.

Displayed good receiving setup and receive skills. Registered 2.06 to 2.09 pop times. Will only get better as he improves his glove to hand exchange. Showed carry on his throws to second base. Registered a top velocity of 81 mph from the crouch. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance. Uses a short stride with good use of his lower half. Shows some bat speed with 83 mph exit velocity off the tee. Line drive type production with occasional pop in his swing. Has emerged as one of the top catching prospects in Ohio’s class of 2014.
