Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-1 200-pound prospect with a strong build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Moderate tempo through a compact delivery and efficient lower half. Slightly open at foot contact falling off to the first base side. Works out of a long arm action and ¾ slot.
Fastball: 77-80 mph fastball the is mostly straight working on a downhill plane. Showed occasional sink when thrown to the arm side.
Slider: 71-72 mph slider showed inconsistent break. The pitch flashed occasional 11/5 tilt.
Changeup: 74-75 mph changeup thrown with deceptive arm action while showing slight fading action.
Pitchability: Fastball is the best offering at this stage. Although he showed solid control for all three pitches, both secondary offerings need to become more consistent moving forward.
Role: Early indications would lean towards more of a bullpen role. There’s some effort to the delivery and lack of more than one above average pitch.
Position
Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Uses a leg kick timing trigger with a bat tip load to upper half.
Hit: Balanced launch with an aggressive stroke. Path plays, allowing him to make consistent hard contact and lift the ball naturally. All fields approach.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Physical kid with bat speed. Can get a out of control at times with movements but when movements sync you can see some electricity in there.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 7.81 60-yard dash.
Field: Worked out at third base. Glove works well and he shows above average lateral mobility. Solid defender.
Throw: 79 mph arm strength across the infield. Above average strength with accuracy.
Defensive Projection: Corner Guy.
