6-foot-1, 195-pound. Athletic right-handed pitching prospect. Uses a chest high leg lift and rolls into a hip load. Shows good direction and creates some tilt during the stride. Long arm action working through a ¾ slot. Fastball has some life to it working downhill at 82-84 MPH. Breaking ball is above average for his age. The pitch has some sharpness to it at 68-70 MPH on an 11/5 tilt.
Body Type: 6-foot-2, 205-pound physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Physical right-hander with an uber loose arm and added arm speed since we saw him last. Ball jumps out of hand.
Fastball: 88-90 mph. Heavy pitch with occasion run.
Curveball: 69-70 mph. Big, 12/6 bender with quality action.
Slider: 73-74 mph. A bit firmer than breaking ball with a 10/4 shape to it.
Changeup: 74-75 mph. Nice change of pace offering that has some dive to it.
Pitchability: Showed the ability to command all four offerings in the zone regularly.
Additional Comments: Ohio State got a good one here. Bullpen was electric at times.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed swinger with a simple loading sequence.
Hit: Obvious physicality to stroke. Swing works well with balanced natural tools, both projecting as above average. All fields hitter with feel for contact and the ability to lift the ball naturally. Very loud BP.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity. Gap abilities with emerging power.
Offensive Projection: Middle of Lineup.
Run: 7.56 60-yard dash.
