8/5/18
5-foot-8, 170-pound. Right hand pitching prospect with an athletic build. Delivery is smooth and compact, works in a good direction with level shoulders down the mound. Fastball set at 79 to 81 mph with slight arm side run. Also offered a 60 to 63 mph curveball that has an 11 to 5 shape and developing depth.

8/5/18
5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Right-handed hitting prospect. At the plate sets up with an open stance. Creates some forward bat tilt during the load, barrel works through the zone on a level path. Line drive type hitter registering a exit velocity of 83 mph. Shows good footwork behind the plate, would like to see the transfer become quicker. Good arm strength reaching 76 mph on throws down to second with 2.01-2.12 pop time. Shows good actions and average footwork. Solid hands and accurate throws reaching a top velocity of 77 mph across the diamond. Also ran a 4.61 home to first.

8/12/18
A right-handed hitter that starts in a an athletic setup. Simple, fluid load that leads to a balanced launch. Intent driven swing with the same line drive abilities we’ve grown to expect from him this summer. Feel hitter that can use the entire field. Type of bat that can play multiple roles inside an offense. At third base he plays under control with quiet actions. Hands work well. Could create more efficient angles prior to fielding with feet. On the bump the right-hander works with fluid tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Flows through a chest high leg lift into his tall and fall load. Lands on line at foot strike and finishes towards home plate. Arm is loose and whippy through a high-¾ slot. Fastball comes out easy sitting in the upper 70s to low 80s. Primary secondary offering is the breaking ball. Will use the pitch to get ahead or put away.

7/17/18
A right-handed hitter that uses a double tap for timing. Balanced swing with noticeable strength through the zone. Does a nice job of attacking the inner part of the baseball, generating regular backspin. Impressive combination of feel and pop. More projectable behind the dish but also is more than adequate at third base. Feet work well and he displays above average ball skills. Versatile defender in general who plays the game the right way. Although he is more projectable as a position player he offers interesting ability on the mound. A good athlete on the bump with feel for the zone. Arm is compact and clean through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sat 78-82 mph on this day, staying mostly true through the zone. Breaking ball is primary secondary offering. The pitch has gradual action on an 11/5 plane at 61-62 mph.

6/26/18
On the mound shows some of the same athleticism that is on display behind the dish. Delivery stays smooth throughout requiring regular effort. Works through a high ¾ slot with evident arm strength. Fastball ranged from 77-8 mph which is a slight jump from past events. Forecast for more velocity as he develops more as a pitcher. Breaking ball shows gradual downward break at 57-58 mph. Competitive kid no matter the position he is playing on the field.

6/20/18
A physical bat from the right side. Double tap timing trigger with fluid back load to hands. Ahead of his year when it comes to approach. Stays inside the ball well, consistently blistering balls to the middle of the field. Both strength and bat speed are apparent. Looks the part behind the dish in game and in workout. Above average catch and throw guy that is a refined blocker with above average receiving abilities.

6/13/18

A solid prospect with a college future. Physical bat from the right side. Strength is the louder tool but bat speed is respectable. Ball jumps and he can use the entire field. Does a nice job staying within himself and working the middle of the field. Behind the dish he shows average to slightly above average receiving abilities and above average blocking abilities. Also was solid in workout with catch and throw abilities. On the bump the righty works with fluid tempo to a delivery that he can repeat. Arm is compact and loose. Tosses an easy fastball that we’ve seen in the upper 70s to low 80s. Also spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that has signs of depth and sharpness. Fills up the zone with both offerings.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 170-pound medium, stocky body frame. From behind the plate he has good, efficient footwork while carrying his momentum in good direction on his throws to second base. Recorded pop times between 2.09-2.27 and reached a top velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from an open stance, using a toe tap back to being even with his foot and strides into contact. Hands stay mostly quiet and get to a good launch position before he finishes his swing with a two-handed follow through. Recorded a top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 7.76 60-yard dash.

5/29/18

A talented prospect in the 2019 class. Behind the dish he plays with a high motor and toughness. Shows the willingness to block with average to slightly above average receiving abilities. Also grades out an above average catch and throw guy as well. At the plate he stars in an athletic stance before getting into his knee pinch for timing. Swing is level with more present strength than speed through the zone. Finds the barrel often, stroking line drives to the middle of the field in BP. Very impressive feel for finding the barrel. Two-way prospect. On the mound he uses a smooth tempo to his athletic delivery. Repeats delivery. Arm is compact through a high-¾ slot. Fastball was anywhere from 77-79 mph on this day but wouldn't be surprised if he has more in the tank. Also showed feel for an 11/5 breaking ball with gradual action through the zone.
