7/18/17
A 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect. At the plate he is a righty swinger that starts in a taller setup. Loading sequence is fluid. Uses a leg kick load while keeping hands simple. Path is slightly downhill and swing is compact. Barrel whips through contact with ease. Would be aided by leveling out path to let his well above average strength and bat speed to produce more consistent ball flight and damage. Consistently drove the ball with authority in game, producing multiple extra base hits.  In the infield he showed some fluidity to his actions. Lateral mobility is above average for the position. Hands are soft and ball skills are above average. Arm is fringy for the position. An above average athlete for the spot.

7/12/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Hands stay simple during his leg kick load and controlled stride. Swing is compact and barrel works on a mostly level path. Swing with intent with obvious whip through the zone. A strong kid with well above average bat speed. Showed present gap to gap pop with more to come. Defensively, his footwork is average. Tends to field the ball deep into the body slightly back on his heels. Funnels into his waist. Transfers the ball cleanly. Throws from a ¾ arm slot across the diamond with developing arm speed. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher has a fluid delivery. Tempo is average paced. Glove foot lands straight towards the plate on impact. Releases the ball from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball has little movement, but he spots the pitch well. Cutter comes in with side to side break and average rotation. Also offers a developing changeup. Pitch is thrown with similar arm speed to his fastball.

6/15/16

6-foot-1, 160-pound athletic frame. Ran a 4.75 from home to first. Took an impressive round of batting practice. Ball jumps off his bat. Obvious strength and batspeed through the zone. Only change would be to add some rhythm to his loading sequence. Much, much more in the tank than his 70 mph exit velocity would indicate. In the infield he has a tendency to field the ball on his heels. Would like to see him play lower. Showed confidence to his glove and threw across the infield with 70 mph arm strength.

2/13/16
6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame. At the plate the righty starts in a wide stance and uses a simple approach at the plate. Uses a toe turn load to initiate his lower half and keep his hands simple. Bat had some quickness to it as he gets it in and out of the zone with a level path. Exit velocity was 77 mph and he ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. In the infield he is able to play under control as he funnels the ball deep into the middle of his body. From a 3/4 slot he threw across the infield with 72 mph arm strength. On the mound he uses a slow tempo and stays tall as he gets to his balance point. A three pitch mix guy saw his fastball sitting 72-74 mph. Curveball showed signs of being sharp with an 11/5 shape and sitting 61-63 mph. Also mixed in a 65-68 mph changeup with fastball armspeed.
