8/6/17
A left-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Gets back to even through a controlled stride. Natural tools are well above average. Works through a middle away approach. Swing is slightly uphill and barrel gets through contact well. Line drive guy. In the outfield he plays with fluidity approaching the baseball. Ball skills are average to slightly above average. Arm strength is an above average tool and has the functional athleticism to play all three spots. Behind the plate he starts in a mid crouch. Footwork is mechanically sound. Transfer was clean. Arm action fits the position. Threw with accuracy. Two-way prospect. On the mound he works with and uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Drop and drive type guy that lands in line at foot strike. Finishes with momentum carrying him towards home plate. Arm is long with some whip to it. Fastball has some run to it, consistently sitting in the upper 70s. Breaking ball was well above average. The pitch has big, sharp action on a 1/7 plane.

A good athlete that showed some tools as a position player as well. Smooth swing from the left side. Takes his hands back during his controlled stride forward before taking a flat path to the ball. Consistently produced line drives in batting practice. Registered an exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 4.39 from home to first. Has some athleticism to his actions in the outfield. Has confidence in his glove. Inconsistent with playing through the baseball. Threw to home plate with 80 mph arm strength.
