2/19/20

2/19/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes:On the mound the righty works with a slower paced tempo on the mound. Arm works well through a high-3/4 slot. Above average arm speed.
Fastball: Mostly true through the zone. Should see more velo. Presently low 70s fastball, topping 74.
Fastball Spin Rate:1600-1800
Curveball: 11/5, gradually breaking curveball that pops out of the hand.
Curveball  Spin Rate:1600-1800
Changeup: N/A.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

2/19/20 Position Player
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a knee pinch for timing during slight back load to hands. Middle back approach in BP, staying inside the baseball nicely. Backspin the ball consistently to the opposite field gap. Hand speed is noticeable.
Power: Line drive with flashes of gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Line drive with flashes of gap abilities.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 90.3
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 90.3
Field: In the outfield he plays with an athletic, fast tempo too and through. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Clean arm with present jump and more strength to come.
Defensive Projection: Multiple spots. Good athlete with above average arm.

2/7/19
Body Type: 5-foot-8, 140 pounds. Smaller build with room to add.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Uses a smooth leg lift for timing as hands stay simple through load and into launch.
Hit: Smooth stroke with feel for contact. All fields guy that generates natural backspin. Liked what I saw in BP. Definite bat to follow as physical maturation takes its course. Showed the ability to turn on the baseball with authority.
Power: 73 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with much more to come.
Offensive Projection: TBD. Projects to hit for high average.
Field: In the outfield he plays with fast, aggressive feet. Gets too and through quickly. Plays with above average ball skills. Also worked out in the infield where he once again showed aggressive feet. First step is quick and he attacks the baseball off the bat. Ball skills are on par for class in the infield.
Throw: ¾ slot with some life. More strength to come. 65 mph across the diamond and 72 mph to home plate.
Defensive Projection: CF/LF/2B

2/7/19 Pitching

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 140 pounds. Smaller build with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Releases out of a ¾ arm slot with showing ability to generate nice momentum throughout his motion. Gets downhill well too with lower half.

Fastball: 63-67 mph. Heavier glove-side run for his class and thrown for strikes the majority of his pitches.
Curveball: 54-56 mph. Developing to maintain a consistent release point. Showed signs of nice spin with 11-5 action.

Changeup: 54-56 mph. Kept this pitch at the knees often and located very well.

Pitchability: Off-speed pitches will continue to develop and become more effective as he throws them more over time. Younger righty that looks to compete with each pitch.

Role:  TBD.
