John Romig: 2B/OF, (2022) Canal Winchester, OH. 5-foot-6, 160-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in an athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Has an upward swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 81 mph; had consistent footwork, a clean exchange, and sure hands. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 83 mph; showed consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.32. Solid on the mound, had a long arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with consistent arm speed. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 75-78 mph. Throws a 12/6 curveball (56-60). His changeup (64-67) has fading action.
2/22/20 Position Player
Hit: Upright setup from the right side, early loader that uses a simple movement sequence prior to launch, balanced position at foot strike, intent driven stroke with a level path, shows both strength and speed to stroke, generates natural backspin with the ability to do damage.
Power: 85 mph tee exit velocity, gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Field: Versatile defender with a quick first step at both positions/plays with a confident pace wherever you put him, ball skills are ahead of the curve, I’d label him as an outfielder first but not by much, legitimate two-way defender.
Throw: 79 mph from the infield and 80 mph to home plate, clean arm with more to come.
Defensive Projection: UTL.
2/22/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Everything works well on the mound, clean delivery with efficiency, arm works well through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 72-76 mph, mostly true, moves it around the zone effectively.
Curveball: 55-56 mph, loses a bit of arm speed, 11/5 shape, big shape.
Changeup: 58-61 mph, average sell, tumbles through the zone.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

5-foot-1, 120 pound prospect swings a nice bat lead by his quick hands. Bat path was level creating consistent contact throughout his round. His lower half engages well during the swing process. Attacks pitches with solid intent producing good pop in his swing. Recorded a 77 mph exit velocity off the tee. In the infield he plays with athletic feet, taking direct routes to the baseball. Actions appear more fluid on the move. Transfer is urgent and clean, getting rid of the ball in a timely fashion. In the outfield he looks athletic and fluid. Plays through the baseball with above average ball skills. Very solid defender with center fielder qualities.
