Johnny Prentice: OF/RHP, (2025) Mentor, OH. 6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic physical frame. (74.6 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Sets up in a wide strong stance with a controlled toe tap stride. While in the infield, made throws up to 77 mph. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 78 mph. (Max spin 2096; Avg 2011).
Johnny Prentice: OF/RHP, (2025) Mentor, OH. 5-foot-9, 155-pound. During batting practice, Prentice's best exit velocity was 92 mph. (67.1 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 81 mph; has sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 77-78 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1908; Avg 1862). His 11/5 curveball (61-63) showed some sweeping action. (Max spin 2118; Avg 2107). His changeup (64-66) had slight fading action. Shows late tight action on his 10/4 slider (63-66). (Max spin 2027; Avg 2026). Ran a 4.09 30 yard dash.
