Josh Mirus: OF/C, (2024) Elder, OH. 6-foot, 175-pound. Athletic in the box, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (61.4 mph bat speed average). (19.2 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Had above average bat speed, level loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels through his rounds. Up the middle approach. Behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 77 mph during throw downs. Solid from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 83 mph; shows sure consistent hands, a fluid exchange, and athletic aggressive feet. While catching, he recorded a position velocity of 77 mph during throw downs; had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.96-2.04 pop time. Had a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. On the mound, had an over-the-top arm angle and a short arm action with quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 77-81 mph. Has running action. (Max spin 2114; Avg 1950). Throws a sharp 11/5 curveball (63-66). (Max spin 1888; Avg 1861). He shows sinking action on his changeup (68-70).
