6/05/18

A well-rounded player who really looks the part defensively. Actions are athletic and ball skills are advanced. Plays with fluidity and maintains rhythm throughout fielding sequence. At the plate he is more physical than when we saw him last summer but still has more room to add strength. A D1 prospect that will continue to get more interest as bat comes along.

8/02/17

A twitchy athlete that reacts well of the bat in the infield. First step is quick and lateral mobility is impressive. Changes directions with ease, showing good body awareness. Hands are soft and ball skills are solid for class. Transfer is very quick. Looks to be able to stay at shortstop at the next level. At the plate he uses a small leg lift for timing. Shifts weight to front side at swing decision. Bat is quick and he has more strength than frame would suggest. A line drive guy who shows all the signs of growing into more juice.

7/18/17

A 6-foot, 155-pound prospect. At the plate he hits from the right-side, starting in an athletic setup. Load is fluid and creates energy. Barrel flows to launch through a bat tip. Creates timing through a toe turn load with his lower half. Natural tools are advanced for his age. Much more pop than frame would suggest. Present gap ability with some loft power. A very impressive young defender. Glove skill are advanced and he has obvious feel up the middle. Actions are athletic and smooth. Silverstein shows a quick first step and moves laterally with ease. Shows all the signs of being a true shortstop at the next level.
