5-foot-9, 160 pound pitching prospect had an athletic build to him throwing with a shorter arm action out of a ¾ arm slot. Ruch has an even tempo throughout his delivery throwing his Fastball from 65-69 mph while topping out at 70 mph a few times. His curveball has higher break to it from 53-56 mph. Changeup kept similar arm speed to his fastball resulting with some downward run into a righty batter at 62-64 mph. Swings it from the right side, starting in a wider setup. Pre launch movements are simple. A contact type guy who takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball. Does a nice job finding the inside part of the baseball, utilizing the middle to opposite field gap. Showed the ability to produce backspin to opposite field. In the infield he plays under control, cutting down distance off the bat. Attacks the baseball linearly prior to fielding deep in the middle of his body. Ball skills are developing. Would be aided by creating angles with his feet to play through the baseball more efficiently.
