Logan Franz: 3B/RHP, (2022) Lebanon, OH. 5-foot-10, 195-pound physical frame. Solid in the box, Franz's best exit velocity was 91 mph. (72.85 mph bat speed average). (21.67 mph hand speed average). Started in an open stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, uses a long level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 77 mph; shows consistent hands, a natural exchange, and average athletic feet. Shows out front glove work. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.69. Solid on the mound, showing consistent arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle and a clean arm action. Feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 80-83 mph. Shows running action. (Max spin 1912; Avg 1832). He shows sinking fading action on his changeup (73-74). His sharp slider (69-72) had sweeping action. (Max spin 2283; Avg 2125).

(21.17 mph hand speed average). Begins in an open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is above average and displays an upward swing plane. Through the round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 81 mph; had a natural fluid exchange, firm hands, and average footwork. Had a compact arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Solid on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Displayed an athletic finish Sat with his fastball at 83-86 mph. Had running action. (Max spin ; Avg ). His changeup (72-73) had fading action. Has sweeping action on his 10/4 slider (72-74).

Scouting Notes:Three-pitch righty with feel for his entire arsenal. Works quickly with good tempo. Arm is clean and should support added velocity down the road. Carved in his outing showing a heavy dose of all three pitches. Fastball has quality riding action complemented by a sweeping breaking ball and a changeup that dives through the zone. All pitches have quality movement.

Power:Gap pop. Physical dude with above average bat speed.

Field:Worked out at third base where he looked well versed. Ball skills are there. Not flashy but looks sure-handed.

Hit: Open stance approach that leads into a middling leg kick that drives the front hip forward consistently. 
Power: 94mph exit velo with a max distance of 318 feet.
Offensive Projection: Gap to gap hitter.
Field: Fluid footwork showing solid range across 3B position. Transitions well into throw.
Throw: 79mph infield velo.
Defensive Projection: Solid 3B defender.

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 187-pound physical frame.
Swing Mechanics: Has an open stance with a simple load with a small leg kick and a slight bat tip.
Hit:  Level bat path with good feel in the box. Works inside the baseball well and goes to all fields. Does a nice job of controlling big movements. Talented bat.
Power: Pop to the gaps with above average bat speed. Top exit velocity off the bat in BP was 87.4.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup guy.
Field: In the infield he plays with quick feet and above average hands. Solid defender with ball skills. Would like to see him create angles prior to fielding for a more efficient play through.
Throw: ¾ right-hander with loose, slinging arm actions and mroe strenght to come.
Defensive Projection: 3B.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Right handed pitcher throws from a lower ¾ arm slot. Average tempo with fluid movements. Cross-fire type delivery showing good arm speed.
Fastball: 75-77 mph. Arm-side movement with downhill action. 1700-1900’s spin rate with high 90’s efficiency.
Curveball: 65-68 mph. 10-4 shape breaking ball with sharp break and decent depth.
Changeup: 64-65 mph. Third offering shows fastball like arm speed with some fade.
Pitchability: Consistently around the zone with his fastball. Breaking ball shows to be potential punch out offering.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Strong delivery coming from a ¾ arm slot. Longer arm action but still on time.
Fastball: 72-75 mph with strong arm side movement.
Curveball: 64-65 mph with 11/5 movement.
Pitchability: Throws both pitches in the zone consistently.
Additional Comments: Young athlete with a good frame to develop craft with. Would expect velo to jump with time.

Field: Third baseman that attacks the baseball off the bat with direct routes. Feet have quickness to him and ball skills are above average.
Throw: Accurate arm with more strength to come. Tosses it with 76 mph across the diamond.
