Lucas Miller: 1B/LHP, (2023) Central Crossing, OH. Pittsburgh-Greensburg Commit, 6-foot-1, 205-pound athletic sturdy build. (63.1 mph bat speed average). (18.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide crouched stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was quick explosive, displayed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created loud contact and found lots of barrels. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph; has consistent in control feet, soft sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with average movement laterally. Using a short compact arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the base from uninterrupted slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.99. Projectable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a moderate arm action with developing arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Balance point is tall with an even shoulders during delivery. Lands open with a falling off finish. (Max spin 1916; Avg 1815).
