6-foot-2, 190-pound. Break into pitching prospect with strong frame. Slow tempo delivery with tall and fall type lower half. Uses a long arm action working out of an over the top slot. Fastball was mostly straight at 80 to 83 mph working downhill. Paired the fastball with a near 12 to 6 curveball that shows some depth at 71 to 73 mph.

6-foot-2, 190-pound frame prospect. Definite D1 arm. Still a tad raw, but the tools are there. Slow, deliberate rhythm. Long lever type. Fastball has arm side run to it at 86-88 mph. Heavy fastball that works in the zone. Breaking ball showed hard break at 71-74 mph. Still developing consistent feel for the pitch but when he has command, it’s a strikeout pitch. Changeup is thrown with good at speed at 79-80 mph. Although he is a special arm talent Burger showed two-way capabilities. Plenty of raw ability and size aided by a huge arm make him a solid defender in the outfield. At the plate he offers an impressive combination of strength and bat speed. Path is level with natural loft in there allowing him to lift the ball without compromising natural tools. Ball really jumps off his bat. Run producer type.

Starts in a balanced setup at the plate. Loading sequence is simple, creating consistent timing. Works on a level path, swinging with intent. Strength stands out as top tool. Bat speed is also above average for his class. Line drive type guy presently with the ability to find the gap. Should grow into a power threat as he adds strength. In the outfield he takes aggressive routes getting to the baseball. Plays through the baseball with confidence, showing average ball skills. Transitions well into his throws, generating above average arm strength to home plate. On the mound the right-hander has fluidity to his delivery that requires some effort. Lower half is efficient, creating solid energy to home plate. Arm works through a near over the top slot with developing arm speed. Fastball gets out of his hand well, staying mostly true through the zone. His breaking ball may be his best pitch. The 11/5 shaped spinner has depth and sharpness to it. Used the offering as a setup or put away pitch.
