Mason Scott: LHP/OF, (2024) Fairmont, OH. 5-foot-10, 118-pound lean build. (54.6 mph bat speed average). (19.6 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Had developing efficient bat speed, uphill swing plane and level finish. He found lots of barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 68 mph; has consistent hands, a fluid exchange, and choppy feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used a high ¾ slot and a long arm action while showing decent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and downhill shoulders. Lands open with a falling off finish. Had decent control and running action with flat movement. (Max spin 1930; Avg 1792).
