Max McCann: C/1B, (2021) Bishop Watterson, OH. Heidelberg University Commit, 6-foot, 165-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Mccann recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Starts in a tall athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was above average, and displayed a level swing plane. Laterally, his movements were athletic. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 77 mph; has a clean fluid exchange, soft hands, and smooth athletic feet. He had a pop time of 2.14-2.24. Athletic setup with above average flexibility. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.02.
Hit: Very athletic, loose swing. Barrelled up everything in BP. Natural tools are well above average for class. High level barrel feel. Big time upside bat to follow.
Power: Easy gap pop. Much more to come as he fills out.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.

Field: Much like at the plate expect stock here to rise as he becomes more physical. Good athlete back there with fluid actions and some ball skills.

Hit: Right handed hitter. Starts in a more upright, open stance. Displays a fluid load with a barrel tip and slight leg lift for timing purposes. Level path through the zone, and was able to generate backspin to the gaps on several occasions.
Power: 88 mph tee ev. Present gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer traits.
Field:Worked out as a C. Recorded a 1.96-2.06 pop time range. Good athleticism behind the plate, with a smooth transition from glove to throwing arm. Arm strength is present with solid footwork. Times will increase with continued development of footwork and physical maturity.
Throw: 75 mph arm from C to 2B. Present arm strength.
