Max Muehlenkamp: OF/LHP, (2022) Anderson High School, OH. 6-foot, 160-pound athletic projectable frame. In the box, Muehlenkamp's best exit velocity was 87 mph. (67.46 mph bat speed average). (21.58 mph hand speed average). Starts in an open athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was average, used an upward swing plane and level finish. Athletic from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 81 mph; has sure developing hands, athletic developing feet, and a developing exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.94. On the mound, showing good arm speed he used a short loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 77-80 mph; had running action and arm side command. (Max spin 1977; Avg 1811). Throws a 1/7 curveball (71-73) that has plus action. (Max spin 1867; Avg 1862). His changeup (63-64) has arm side command and fading action.
