Michael Kermes: 2B/SS, (2021) Medina, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 93 mph. Begins in an athletic open stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Has explosive bat speed, upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 83 mph; shows a natural exchange, consistent feet, and soft hands. Solid recorded an outfield position velocity of 85 mph; shows soft hands, a clean exchange, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.83.
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Whippy, physical stroke that barrelled up balls frequently in BP. Both strength and bat speed are above average tools for class. Worked gap to gap in BP.
Power: Easy gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 90mph.
Max BP Distance: 329ft.
Field: Plays under control throughout sequence. Can get to heels at times. Ball skills on par for class.
Throw: Loose arm that will add more velo.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
2/2/20 Position Player
Hit:Physical presence in the box form the right side. Level path with an all fields approach. Showed more natural ball flight to the middle of the field. Presently stronger than he is fast with his hands. Squared up most of what he saw in BP.
Power: Line drive with more to come.
Offensive Projection: Table Setter.
Field: Fluid tempo in the infield. Has feel for feet with the ability to create angles. Ball skills appear to be above average for class.
Throw: Clean arm with solid strength. Accurate thrower.
Defensive Projection:2B/3B.
