5-foot-8, 160-pound. Athletic at the plate, Richter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is quick and exhibits a level swing plane. He barreled up multiple balls throughout his round. Line drive approach. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; showed a natural exchange, consistent quick feet, and sure hands. He had a pop time of 2.00-2.06. Had quiet setup. Recorded a time of 7.71 in the 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a quick arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows decent effort. Athletic balance point. Curveball (65-66 mph), changeup (71-72 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 75-76 mph.
5-foot-8, 160-pound athletic body frame. From behind the plate he has athletic actions with quickness to his footwork. Clean transfer to throw with a clean, short arm action from a ¾ slot recording pop times between 2.03-2.22 and a velocity of 71 mph. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery landing in a straight line at foot strike. Throws with average arm speed through a ¾ slot. Fastball is mostly true through the zone ranging from 73-74 mph. Curveball has gradual sink with some depth on an 11/5 plane between 64-65 mph. Slider has a good shape with sinking action and has a tighter break than his curveball giving hitters a different look at a breaking pitch between 66-68 mph. Throws his changeup with good arm speed and drops near home plate at 68-69 mph. Knuckleball has tumbling movement with sinking action at 59-61 mph. Switch hitter from the right side of the plate starts his swing from an open stance using a toe tap for a timing trigger, initiating his lower half. Swings with a more level bat bath through the zone finishing with a two-handed follow through. From the left side of the plate he has a similar set up, finishes swing with a more upward bat path. Showed the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field on both sides of the plate during his round of batting practice. Ran an 8.09 60-yard dash.
