Scouting Notes: High follow in class. Works fast/good tempo. Arm really works. Very loose through a high-3/4 slot. Up to 86mph and easily could have more in the tank. Also spins an above average breaking ball.
Fastball: 84-86mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1984-2183
Breaking Ball: 68-69mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1809-1998
Changeup: 1809-1998
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Short arm action. Quick delivery sitting into back leg. Lands slightly open. Overall solid mechanics to improve on.
Fastball: 80-83mph. Needs to be in zone more consistently.
Curveball: 71-72mph. 11/5 movement with good break but needs to be more consistent in the zone.
Changeup: 75-76mph. Good pitch, fair share of swing and misses. Keeps hitters off balance.
Pitchability: Needs to be more consistent in the zone with all pitches.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic, projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slower paced tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Very clean arm through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: Ball jumps out of his hand. Definite candidate for velocity jump. Easy velocity at 78-81 mph.
Curveball: 63-65 mph. 11/5 shaped breaking ball. Has feel for the offering w/developing sharpness to it.
Changeup: 71-73 mph. The more developed of his two secondary offerings. Ball comes out with a fastball look before showing some fading action to it.
Pitchability: Filled it up with fastball and showed impressive command of secondary arsenal.
Additional Comments: High follow. Shows signs of a future power arm down the road.
