10/20/19

Swing Mechanics: Easy, athletic moves that create balance and energy.
Hit: One of the top BPs of the day. Compact storke with feel for contact. All fields hitter that sprayed it around the yard. Backspun everything.
Power: Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Good athlete that moves well in the infield. Fundamentally sound with above average ball skills. Solid defender.
Throw: Accurate thrower with some jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: 2B/3B.

2/02/19

Body Type: 5-foot-10 157-pound prospect with a medium build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Threw from a ¾ arm slot and showed pretty quick arm.
Fastball: Fastball ranged between 77-79 mph and was mostly true through the zone.
Breaking Ball: Breaking ball was 64-67 mph and showed a slurvey shape. It had tight spin and good bite.
Changeup: 71-72 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his 3 pitch mix. Breaking ball was the most advanced pitch in his arsenal.
Role: Presently would project best as a bullpen type at the next level but would be able to start at the high school level because of the quality of his breaking ball.

2/02/19

Body Type: 5-foot-10 157-pound prospect with a medium build.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in an open stance and uses a leg kick load with lots of upper body movement and bat ‘waggle.’ Shows a flat bat path and good barrel control with strong hands and wrists.
Hit: Strong hands and good bat to ball ability.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows the ability to potentially spray the ball around the diamond a bit. Raw power would need to improve to better drive balls into the gaps to get more extra base hits.
Field: In the infield he waits a bit on the ball and shows a slower release. He took decent angles to the ball and showed average footwork. Throws had good carry.
Run: 7.16 60 yard dash.
Defensive Projection: Presently shows a little raw to stick at SS at the next level but shows the basic physicality to stick in the middle of the diamond at the next level. More than likely at 2B.

6/13/18

A right-handed bat that starts in a taller, open setup. Goes with a leg and bat tip to loading sequence. Launches from a balanced setup and takes a slightly uphill path to launch. Hands are quick and he generates more pop than frame would suggest. Showed gap pop to both sides, getting into a few with authority. A second baseman type in the infield. Plays fast and low through the baseball. Hands work well and ball skills are there. Showed the ability to make plays on the move. Two-way prospect. On the mound the right-hander has fluid tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Rolls through a chest high leg lift into his efficient hip load. Gets down the mound well with good direction to home plate. Arm action is compact and clean through a high-¾ slot. Fastball stays mostly true through the zone, sitting 75-77 mph. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual break at 61-64 mph. Also tosses a changeup with some dive to it at 71-73 mph. Does a nice a job maintaining arm speed on the pitch.

9/24/17

Reached base in two of his three trips to the plate, his only out coming from a roped line drive to center field. A contact type hitter with a short, line drive swing. Shows above average bat speed for his class and should grow into gap pop with maturity. Worked out in the infield and outfield. At third base he is mechanically sound with solid pre fielding footwork. Hands are soft and he plays through the baseball with above average ball skills. Arm strength is developing. In the outfield he reacts well off the bat and gets to the baseball in a timely fashion. Plays through well and uses a pro step to gain momentum into his throws. Arm and foot speed profile him best in left field at this stage.

6/21/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Goes with a leg kick to get things started. Hands have some rhythm to them as they move back to launch position. Path is uphill and bat speed is developing. Barrel has some whip to it through the zone. Top of the lineup type guy. A third baseman that takes direct routes to the baseball, moving light on his feet. Actions are more athletic outside his funnel. Fields the ball out in front nicely, before funneling into the middle of his body. On the mound the right-hander works exclusively from the stretch. Uses an easy leg lift prior to his stride. Arm works through a high-¾ slot with developing arm speed. Fastball was mostly straight through the zone sitting 73-74 mph. Breaking ball works on an 10/4 plane and showed signs of sharpness. The pitch was anywhere from 60-62 mph and he showed obvious confidence in the pitch.

2/05/17

5-foot-9, 130-pound prospect. On the mound the righty has a quicker tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with some quickness to his arm. Was able to put run on his fastball that came in at 71-73 mph. Had solid field feel for both of his secondary offerings. The better of the two being his 10/4 shaped breaking ball that showed late life at 58-60 mph. Was consistently in the zone with his 58-60 mph changeup. In the infield he showed fluid footwork prior to fielding the ball in the middle of his body. Glove skills are above average and he threw across the infield with 70 mph arm strength. At the plate he uses a leg kick to get his lower half involved. Creates solid energy with his legs. Hands stay simple until launch. Barrel has solid direction and whip. Ball came off his bat well, consistently producing line drives in batting practice.
