8/5/18
6-foot-1, 195-pound. Right-handed hitting first baseman. Athletic setup, rotational type hitter. Initiates the lower half using a toe tap. Nice rhythm to the hands prior to launch, bat takes a slightly uphill path to the ball generating some loft and gap to gap power. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Showed good footwork around the bag at firstbase, glove is above average. Arm strength is presently below average reaching a top velocity of 67 mph. Also ran a 4.82 home to first.

Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 195-pound solid frame. At first base he has good footwork around the bag and moves well laterally off the bag to cover ground. Throws with a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 64 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter starts with his weight more towards his back leg. Hands load toward his back shoulder and finishes with a two-handed follow through. He showed the ability to use the whole field during his round of batting practice, recording a top exit velocity of 85 mph and ran an 8.0 60-yard dash.

6-foot-1, 195 pound first basemen with a taller build showed a good glove defensively in his outing. Albers moves well for his size to get in good position to field. His throws across the diamond were 69 mph and can be improved by not coming straight up from his fielding stance to throw. Stay low and take momentum towards the target, not up. Offensively, Albers it many baseballs hard with an 82 exit velo. He falls into pitches at times so he needs to stay more upright, have control of his core and utilize his legs to have a firm base. His swing looked good, but polishing up some of the above-mentioned skills can only improve his performance.
