5-foot-11, 185 pound left-handed hitting third baseman had an inside out swing that stayed on the baseball well enabling him to drive the ball with average power. Sparks had an exit velocity of 80 mph which could be improved if he gets more lower half usage during his swing. At times his gripped looked to be a little tight causing the barrel to be forced in the zone instead of letting it whip. He has a good-sized frame with some upside. In the field, he uses short arm action through high ¾ slot. Top velocity of 73 mph with accurate throws across the infield. Hands showed some softness. Made the routine plays. Transfer and exchange showed some length to it.
5-foot-11, 165-pound strong frame. Ran a 4.81 from home to first. At the plate he starts in a balanced set up before taking a short stride forward. His bat tip gives him natural whip through the zone. Average batspeed at this stage. Stronger than he is fast with the bat. Top exit velocity was 73 mph. Moves well laterally in the infield with average glove skills at this stage. Smooth actions. Threw across the infield with 70 mph arm strength.
