Samuel Taylor: RHP/3B, (2023) Sheridan, OH. 5-foot-9, 195-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 83 mph. Started in an athletic quiet stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Has quick bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 73 mph; had consistent footwork, a fluid exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Knuckle (61-63 mph). Sat with his fastball at 75-78 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1698; Avg 1662). He had slight action on his changeup (68-71).
