Looked fluid and under control at the plate. Throughout the day he showed the ability to read spin and showed advanced knowledge of the strike zone. Went 1-1 on the day with a BB and RBI 1B to RCF.

8/02/17

The two-way talent showed off his abilities as a position player today. A middle infielder that attacks the baseball. Has some bounce to his first step and moves well out of his funnel. Showed good actions and a big arm across the infield. At the plate he has an efficient swing that finds the barrel often. Path is level and barrel whips through contact well. Look for him to impress on the mound.

6/06/17

One of the top pitching prospects in the 2020 class. Smaller frame but has some serious arm talent. Arm is fast, loose, and clean. Very mechanically sound and creates solid energy with his lower half. Expect his running 81-83 mph fastball to easily increase as he grows and adds strength. Advanced pitch ability for his age. Both of his secondary offerings are impressive. Spins a plus, 12/6 breaking ball maintaining arm speed. Throws the pitch firm at 74-75 mph, giving it depth and sharpness. Also has feel for a change-up that has a similar look to his fastball. At the plate he starts open in an athletic stance. Gets thing started through a leg kick load prior to his controlled stride. Bat has some quickness to it on a level path. Continuously produced line drives in batting practice. Type of bat that could hit just about anywhere in the lineup. In the infield he gets good reactions off the bat showing a quick first step. Glove skills were impressive and footwork was athletic. Transfer skills are smooth and he has the arm to stay on the left side of the infield.

1/28/17

Projectable long, wiry 2020 prospect that shows advanced traits on the mound. Arm shows obvious quickness with whippy like arm action. Some effort in delivery as he offers an 80-82 mph fastball with substantial arm-side run. His slider shows signs of being a potential power pitch. Thrown at 74-75 mph the slider breaks heavily deep in the zone. Arm speed on changeup looks exactly like his fastball while sitting between 73-75 mph. Starts open at the plate with his bat vertical. Uses a leg kick for timing and takes his barrel behind his helmet prior to launch. Showed definite quickness to his bat. Movements are efficient. Top of the lineup type guy who consistently finds the barrel. Defensively, he shows natural feel for the shortstop position. Good anticipation. Footwork still has room to improve fluidity, but athleticism is there. Quick, clean transfer. Throws from a ¾ slot with good carry to his throws. Makes the play in the hole with ease. One of the top two-way players in Ohio’s 2020 class. Younger brother of University of Kentucky LHP Zach Logue.

3/19/16

5-foot-8, 130-pound prospect with athletic frame. Top prospect at this event with advanced skills for his age as both a pitcher and position player. Short arm action through ¾ to high ¾ slot. Accurate throws with impressive top velocity of 77 mph. Good carry to his throws. Creates angles and keeps his feet moving. Gets rid of the baseball. At the plate he creates excellent energy into contact through an efficient load and aggressive stride. Used both sides of the field and registered a top exit velocity of 69 mph. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash. It’s hard to believe you are watching a prospect who isn’t in high school when you watch Seth off the mound. He is mechanically sound with loose arm action that should translate to added velocity as he matures. His fastball had natural run and sat between 79-81 mph. His 11/5 shaped curveball has very sharp break as it drops off the table as it crosses the zone at 70-72 mph. Also showed feel for a changeup that had fade to it at 71-72 mph. Very bright future.
