7/17/12
6-foot, 185-pound prospect. Registered a 7.02 60-yard dash. From the outfield he shows a top velocity of 82 mph. Likely projects as a corner guy in the outfield or the infield. From third, he shows short arm action and good quickness in his feet for his size. Reaches top velocity of 80 mph across the infield. At the plate, shows middle of the order potential. Uses a small leg kick to trigger his swing. Good use of his lower half with some torque in his swing. Quick into the zone with his hands. Shows solid contact with pull power.

6/04/12
6-foot, 205-pound prospect with strong, solid frame. His bat is his key for the next level. Has upright power stance. Triggers hand load from shoulder. Attacks hitting zone well squaring barrel on ball. Good power potential. Has good hip torque finish. Defensively, he projects as a first baseman while showing good movement around the bag. On the mound, he has good front side in delivery but is tad long on back arm extension. Has 3/4 to low 3/4 arm slot. Needs to enhance lower half hip pop in follow through to promote more velocity. Fastball is straight at 79-82 mph with downward spin on curve at 67-68 mph.
2/18/12
Strong stocky 6-foot-0, 215-pound body, not much projection. Offers two-shot ability. Excellent foot-speed for size (5.09 40 yd on concrete). Shows good defensive ability. Fields what he gets too with good hands and playable 77 mph across diamond throw. Balanced hitting stance. Gets good lower half in swing to project power. Has some length in swing (78 mph bat velo). On the mound, the right-hander uses quick, short arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. Uses quick rhythm to his delivery. Fastball sits at 81-85 mph with some sink. Curveball shows 12/6 late breaking action down in the zone. Split-finger sits at 68 mph and shows good diving action.
The 6-foot, 215-pound prospect likely projects as a first baseman at the next level. Coon has a solid frame with broad shoulders. He registered a 7.53 60-yard dash. In the field, he showed soft hands and clean footwork around first base. He uses long and loose arm action to throw 75 mph across the infield. At the plate, he displayed a short, compact swing with a slightly uphill bat path that results in gap-to-gap power. On the mound, Coon uses a high 3/4 arm slot and long, loose arm action. He has a quick rhythm to his delivery. His fastball sits at 81-83 mph and shows natural, heavy sink. His curveball, which is more like a slurve, sits at 64-66 mph and has sharp 11/5 break. His changeup, which sits at 71-72 mph, shows similar sinking action to his fastball.
