8/6/17
On the bump the right-hander is mechanically efficient with a clean arm. Uses an uptempo delivery and works quickly, keeping his defenders involved. Arm moves through a high-¾ slot with average to slightly above average arm speed. Fastball showed late sink to it and he used both sides of the plate. Offers a changeup and breaking ball for his secondary offerings. Changeup showed similar sink and has a fastball look out of the hand. Breaking ball looked to be his go to secondary offering. Puts solid spin on the pitch that had some sharpness to it. Throws the spinner with confidence and it has an 11/5 shape to it. At the plate the righty is strong and has feel for the barrel. Loading sequence is rhythmic and athletic. Path is level and barrel gets through the baseball with authority. Produces easy gap pop with natural loft to pull side. A middle of the lineup type guy. Swing looks to play in games. With his feel he should be able to hit for above average power and average. At third base he moves light on his feet and gets solid reactions off the bat. Mechanically sound with above average glove skills. Projects as an above average defender.

8/1/17
6’1, 210-pound prospect. Swings it from the right-side, initiating pre launch movements with a smooth leg kick. Does a good job gathering weight prior to transfer it into contact. Swings with intent and showed obvious strength through contact. Gets better each time we see him. Swing shows up in games as well. Uses all fields with impressive barrel awareness. Middle of the lineup guy with easy gap pop. A solid defender at third base. Mechanically sound with feel for the spot. Plays fast and with athleticism. Has the skill set to stay at third and enough functional athleticism to move to first base if need be. On the mound he is mechanically efficient and fluid. Arm is clean as it moves through a high-¾ slot. Knows how to pitch and can locate all offerings, throwing each in any count. Fastball has regular run and is complimented by his breaking ball. The spinner is sharp and has some depth to it on an 11/5 plane. Changeup has the fastball look out of the hand with similar action to fastball. Maintains arm speed on both secondary offerings.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Uses a fluid, double tap load to initiate loading sequence. Creates solid energy with his lower half. Strength and bat speed are noticeable through the zone. Gets on plane early and has feel for the barrel. Consistently produced hard contact in batting practice. Produced backspin to both sides of the field. Has power potential in there. A third baseman that has obvious feel for the position. Creates angles with his pre fielding footwork and plays through the ball with ease. Glove works in and out of the funnel. Moves well laterally and showed the ability to come and get it. More than enough arm to stay on the left side. On the mound the right-hander has a smooth delivery that requires some effort. A drop and drive type guy that lands on line to home plate at foot strike. Arm action is clean with some looseness in there. Works through a high-¾ slot with above average arm speed. Fastball showed arm side run sitting 77-80 mph. Breaking ball is tight, with depth at 63-69 mph. Showed obvious confidence in the offering. Also showed feel for a 74-76 mph changeup. Looks confident and control on the mound. Showed command of all three pitches, using them in any count.
