Abbatiello really stood out on both sides of the ball. Draws comparisons to Youngstown State commit Phillip Glasser. A very good athlete that isn’t flashy but shows a ton of range and well above average ball skills. At the plate he has a loose, compact swing with a balanced offering of strength and speed to his hands. Sprayed it to all fields in BP. Top of the lineup type skill set with enough pop to hit out of the three hole.

5-foot-11, 155-pound thin, athletic frame. Ran a 4.46 from home to first. At the plate he starts with an open setup before using a short stride forward to get back to even. Takes an uphill path to the ball with above average strength and batspeed. Reached a top exit velocity of 86 mph. In the infield he has fluid footwork with the ability to play through the ball efficiently. Plays low but has a tendency to field on his heels. Through across the infield with 69 mph arm strength.
