7/06/20

Scouting Notes: A lot to like here. 6-foot-5 southpaw with feel for the zone. Fastball sat in the low 80s for the most part but got on hitters hands/was heavier than velo would suggest. Spins a sharper, 1/7 curveball that has improved since the last time we saw him. With his size, ability to fill up the zone , and lower effort delivery it'd be easy to see him in a starting rotation at the next level.
Fastball: 80-84mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1911-1978
Breaking Ball: 70-73mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1600-1775

7/16/19

Body Type: 6-foot-5, 200-pound physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: A long and low ¾ arm action with some lower half but still more in the tank. Needs to learn how to use size to advantage.
Fastball: 80-81mph. Hard arm side run that looks hard to hit when thrown down and out on right handed batters. 1,900-2,100 rpm spin rate with mid 90% efficiency on Rapsodo.
Curveball: 70-73mph. Thrown on a 2/8 plane with more depth over action. Used sparingly.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
Additional Comments: Ideal frame that has more in the tank.

6/03/19

Body Type: 6-foot-5 200-pound frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Long 3/4 on time arm action. Gives an inward hip turn during the loading phase. Not much scap load. High mobility in lower half.
Fastball: 79-82 mph. Average spin rate around 1,900rpm’s with good efficiency.
Curveball: 1/7 movement with nearly 6 inches of movement. Shows potential.
Pitchability: Needs to be more consistent in the zone.
Additional Comments: Guy to follow. That size, left-handed and can throw strikes...he’s going to put college coaches in the stands.

6/28/17

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound LHP has a tall, lengthy athletic body that is smooth and fluid. From the windup, he starts with a wide and relaxed stance. He uses a high leg kick and has a fluid loopy arm windup.  Throws from a high 3/4 slot. He’s quick to the plate and has good tempo between pitches. Has good feel for all pitches. FB has late run away from RHH. CB is loopy with 1/7 break, good break at the end. CH has slow late run/drop.

FB: 72-75 mph
CB: 57-59 mph
CH: 65-66 mph

6/13/17

Bring athleticism and pitch ability to the mound. Very tall, lanky frame with a ton of room to fill out. Uses a slower paced tempo to his low effort delivery. Has an easy leg lift and stays tall at balance point. Ball comes out of his hand easy, sitting 71-72 mph. Displayed advanced feel for both secondary offerings. Spins a sharp, 1/7 shaped breaking ball with depth at 58-59 mph. Changeup has similar run to his fastball at 59-62 mph. Very impressive pitch ability and repeats his delivery. A left-handed bat that starts in a tall open setup. Very projectable frame with advanced strength for his age. Swing sequence is fluid and he has natural loft to his path. Middle of the lineup tool set that showed power potential to his pull side. High ceiling at the plate. In the outfield the left-hander shows confidence in his glove while fielding with one hand. Footwork is controlled before translating into a slight crow hop. Throws from a high ¾ slot with some looseness. Possesses a lot of really good actions and shows an advanced ability in the way he plays in the outfield.

60-Yard Dash: 7.93
Infield Velocity: 72
Exit Velocity: 76
