1/15/18

Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. In the infield he uses quick, controlled footwork prior to fielding. Fields the ball nicely, out in front of his body. Looks to be able to keep glove skills on the move. Threw across the diamond with 77 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a small leg lift for timing while keeping upper half quiet. A strong kid that takes a level path to the baseball. Swings with intent and can do damage when he finds the barrel. Middle of the lineup type guy with an 82 mph exit velocity. On the mound - A right-handed pitcher with a projectable frame. Delivery is compact and has rhythm. Uses a long arm action working through a ¾ slot. Showed feel for all three of his offers. A fastball that sat 76-79 with arm side run. The breaking ball worked on a 11/5 plane at 64-65 mph with late break. Also offers a changeup at 69-70 mph, the pitch has occasional run to the arm side.

6-foot, 160-pound thin, projectable frame. Ran a 7.91 60-yard dash. At the plate the righty starts with a wide, balanced stance. Uses minimal load with his hands to stay short, compact through the zone. Takes a short stride to transfer his weight. Would like to see him get his backside through the ball as he matures. Exit velocity was 70 mph. Displayed quick, active footwork in the infield with some softness to his hands. From a 3/4 slot he showed 72 mph arm strength across the diamond. On the mound he used a slow-paced windup while staying tall as he got to his balance point. Showed good direction to home plate with an athletic finish. From a 3/4 slot his fastball sat 74-77 with slight run. His curveball had a 10/4 shape with gradual downward movement at 62-65 mph. Mixed in a slider that had sweeping action across the plate at 62-64 mph. Also had a changeup in his arsenal that came in between 65-67mph.
