The 2023 outfielder has been a mainstay at the Future Games for Team Oklahoma and showed his comfortability in the moment throughout the week.  The left handed hitter ran a 7.01 60 and showcased throws from the outfield that had good trajectory and carry towards the plate.  Where Bennight really shined was in the box during the games where he picked up a couple hits using his long levered swing.  Bennight has really good strength at contact when hitting with leverage and shows his ability to drive the ball to all fields with gap to gap power and has the attributes that has the potential for in game home run power.

A physically advanced 6-foot-2, 170-pound projectable frame. On the mound, the left-hander works only from the stretch with a high leg kick gathering over his back side before striding down the mound and finishing to the dish. Arm action is long and loose in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot that Bennight repeats well. Fastball sits 77-79 mph with arm side run, almost all strikes. Changeup shows occasional cut at 73-74 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 1/7 shape at 67-68 mph, mostly strikes.

Demonstrated feel for a long and lean 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with obvious projectability and athleticism in his frame. The left-handed hitter begins with a balanced, open stance utilizing a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Gets tall at the point of contact while hitting into a stiff front side with a quick barrel that enters the hitting zone on a flat path. Consistently was on time and peppered the middle of the field off the tee registering an 83 mph bat-exit velocity, but showed more pop in BP. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder featured advanced footwork with long, athletic actions during defensive evaluations arriving to the ball on time and playing through it with regularity. A fluid high ¾ arm-slot with whip created accurate 86 mph throws from his position with carry.

4/28/19

A 6-foot-2, 160 pound lean and projectable frame. On the mound the left-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing to the dish. Arm action long and controlled in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane up in the zone and flashes some arm side run down in the zone, some strikes,  77-79 mph. Curveball flashes some tight spin and depth at times with big 12/6 shape at 65-67 mph some strikes. Changeup is developing at 69-71.

4/28/19

A 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame. Offensively, physical frame, hits from tall left-handed stance. Narrow base, uses short lift and stride to the baseball, small dive towards that plate to swing. Some stiffness in the swing, generates some bat speed with long levers, much more length and separation to be generated in future. Barrel works steep, uphill through hitting zone. Chance to be power LH bat, 80 mph exit velo.  Runs a 7.33 60. Defensively, plays tall and upright, short stride to throw with current arm strength and carry. Works up and over front side to throw. Throws with long arm stroke coming from high ¾ arm slot, small head snap with slight arm side run at 84 mph from OF.
