Cape Cod: Phillips had a tough season as a freshman in 2023, finishing with a 9.69 ERA, but he saved his best outing for last with six innings of one-run baseball in the Big 12 Tournament against Texas Tech and took that momentum to the Cape, where he had a 3.09 ERA in 20.1 innings. He has a long arm action in his delivery and finishes over the top, using a fastball from 86-88 mph, touching 89, two distinct high-70s breaking balls and a changeup from 81-83 mph.

The Oklahoma State commit has a 6-foot-, 155-pound lean and projectable frame. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled tempo delivery with a high leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced towards the dish. Arm action is long, loose, fluid, and controlled in the back before coming through a near over the top arm slot. Fastball sits 78-80 touching 81 mph, keeping its plane, nearly all strikes. Curveball has 1/7 shape with rolling action at 67-68 mph. Changeup shows consistent arm-side run at 73-74 mph. Slider/cutter shows some late depth and short East-West action at 71-73 mph. All pitches thrown for consistent strikes. 

A 6-foot, 155-pound projectible frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the offensive side, the left-handed hitter bats from a narrow, upright, and open set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate stride and arm bar load before launching his hands on an uphill path through extension. In BP, shows an opposite field gap approach with lift and some barrels, more pop than his 80 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.33 60. Defensively, shows high energy and confident actions, active footwork coming through the ball well and adequate hands. On throws, shows a long and fluid arm stroke coming through an over the top slot with accuracy at 81 mph.

A 5-foot-11, 135-pound long and projectable frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, relaxed, and slightly front foot heavy set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth hand load with a moderate stride before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path with a high finish. In BP, shows an all fields and flat approach with occasional lift, almost all barrels, and more pop than his 69 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.37 second 60.  Defensively, in the outfield, shows clean and confident actions with athleticism, charging the ball well. Throws with a long arm stroke with a fluid circle coming through a high-¾ slot with accuracy at 76 mph from the outfield. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled tempo with an up, down, and out leg kick with excellent drive down the mound. Arm action is long and controlled in the back, coming through a high-¾ slot with looseness. Four-seam fastball ranges 76-78 mph, commanded in the zone. Two-seam fastball sits 74-75 mph with consistent late run. Curveball has 12/6 shape with late depth at 67-68 mph. Changeup shows consistent fade at 73-74 mph. Cutter has late glove side action at 71-73 mph. Overall, shows elite command especially for a player of his age.
