A 6-foot-2 , 215-pound muscular, lean, athletic frame. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle-pull approach, consistently hit balls in the air, created some backspin. Wide athletic stance, some rhythm, short, slightly closed stride, late heal plant, late arm bar, strong hands, aggressive swings, 79 mph exit velo. Defensively, good receiver, consistent feet and exchange,  over the top arm action, some stiffness, 76 mph to second, 1.94-2.01 showcase pops, very accurate arm. Ran a 7.31 60.  Had two walks, two strikeouts, and deep fly to left on the day.

6/6/17

A physically impressive 6-foot-2, 220-pound muscular frame packed with strength. Offensively, Kropp continues to grow and improve. The right-handed hitter bats from an open and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate hanging leg kick for timing and is short to the ball with bat speed and strength, flat path to the ball with a high finish. In BP, shows an all fields approach with some lift, mostly barrels, and much more strength than his 85 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 7.00 60. Defensively, is high energy behind the dish with soft hands, occasionally traces the path of the ball, above average blocker. Throws down to second with an extremely short arm stroke, slight hitch on the exchange, 1.96-2.05 showcase pop times.  In the game, went 1-for-4 with a single and two HBPs.
