Parker Whittle: RHP/1B, (2021) Regent Preparatory, OK. 6-foot, 195-pound mature frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power in the box with a strong exit velocity of 89 mph. Started in a tall stance then used a long stride. Had uphill swing plane, above average bat speed and high finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 82 mph; has a lengthy exchange, consistent feet and firm hands. Had a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.79. Average on the mound, throws from an over-the-top arm angle and has good arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows high effort. Has in line shoulder with consistent balance point. Lands hard with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 80-81 mph;  shows consistent command with straight movement. Throws a 12/6 curveball (62-63) with some action. He has fading action on his changeup (72-73).

A durable 6-foot, 195-pound frame with some strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a simple delivery with rhythm that he repeats well. Uses a moderate leg kick with a quick and aggressive leg drive down the mound before finishing balanced. Arm action is long and fluid in the back coming through a high-¾ slot with quickness. Fastball sits 81-84 mph, keeping its plane, nearly all strikes. Curveball shows some late bite at the bottom with 11/5 shape at 64-67 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows some depth at 70-73 mph, thrown with full arm speed, mostly strikes.

A durable 6-foot, 190-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and deliberate delivery with a moderate leg kick before exploding to the dish with quality leg drive and finishing to the first base side. Arm action is long in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with looseness and arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-84 mph, nearly all strikes, commanded to both sides. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with some late depth at 62-63 mph. Slider has short and shaper 10/4 shape at 67-71 mph, mostly strikes.

The primary right-handed pitcher displayed a physical 6-foot, 190-pound frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter begins with an even stance utilizing a knee-knock stride to initiate an aggressive lower half. Sinks into a strong backside generating an 86 mph bat-exit velocity with a slightly uphill barrel-path during batting practice. The backstop demonstrated adequate receiving skills with a soft glove hand. Pop times ranged from 2.03-2.08 on accurate 70 mph throws out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot. Featured advanced feel while blocking with range to both sides. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash.

A durable 6-foot, 190-pound frame.  On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and deliberate tempo with a high leg kick before sinking into his backside and and exploding to the dish, striding very closed, and finishing towards the dish. Arm action is long in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 81-84 mph with some downhill action, nearly all strikes. Curveball has rolling action with 11/5 shape at 62-63 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows consistent fade at 71-73, nearly all strikes, slider shows short 10/4 shape at 69-70 mph.

A 6-foot, 190-pound frame. Offensively, the physical right handed hitter generates good bat speed with strong lower half and frame, stays behind the baseball with good extension. Simple leg lift and hang to load, consistent barrels in BP, middle to oppo line drives with max effort swing. Lands slightly closed on front foot, rolls through to finish with small arm bar leading to the baseball, creates length at times. Physical right handed bat, chance to be middle of lineup bat. In BP shows and all fields approach with occasional lift, 86 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.65 60. Defensively, receives baseball in well balanced stance with strength, sits low with broad shoulders. Glove drops prior to catch, chance to be late with plus velo. Quiet, simple catch and throw actions, tall in secondary stance. On throws down, short arm stroke with small waggle, OT arm slot at 73mph for showcase pop times of 2.07-2.14.

12-17-17
A 5-foot-11, 190-pound advanced and durable frame. Works from a deliberate windup until hand break when he strides down the mound with good leg drive. Arm action is full and fluid in the back coming through a high-¾ slot cleanly with some arm speed. Fastball flashes some downhill tilt sitting 78-80 mph, mostly strikes. Slider shows late depth and tight spin with 10/4 shape, 67-71 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape with rolling action, 59 mph. Changeup sits 71-72 mph with excellent fade, thrown at full arm speed. Whittle shows impressive feel for a young pitcher with a clean arm action, definitely a prospect to watch.

A durable 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame with some strength. On the mound, works from a controlled delivery with an up down and out leg kick before pushing down the mound with good leg drive. Fastball sits 77-80 mph with some downhill tilt and arm-side run, mostly strikes. Changeup shows some fade, 68-69 mph. Slider has good depth with 10/4 shape and is thrown with near fastball arm speed, 69-70 mph. Curveball is still developing, near 12/6 shape with rolling action, 60-61 mph. Overall, Whittle has a fast arm and feel for pitching that will make him an attractive prospect in the years to come. 

A durable 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats form an open, narrow, and back leg heavy set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a short reverse toe tap with a moderate stride before launching his hands on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, mostly flat with occasional lift, mostly barrels, advanced bat speed, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.74 60. Defensively, is an solid receiver from a wide, balanced and flexible base with soft hands, keeps the ball in front on blocks. Show short and clean footwork on throws down with a quick and loose arm coming through an over the top slot, 66 mph.

A durable 6-foot, 192-pound frame with some strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled delivery with rhythm and a moderate leg kick before exploding towards the dish. Arm action is long and loose in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through an over the top slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 78-80 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with rolling action at 58-59 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed and shows soft fade at 71-72 mph.  

A 6-foot, 192-pound durable frame. The right-handed hitter bats from an open and back leg heavy set-up with rhythm throughout. Uses a moderate knee-knock load with a hand pump before launching them on a slightly uphill path with some length. In BP, shows a middle to pull side approach with some lift and pop with some barrels, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.74 second 60. Defensively, behind the plate, shows soft and strong hands when receiving and clean exchanges, coming out of the crouch early at times. Throws from a typical catchers slot with some carry and excellent accuracy, 71 mph to second base with showcase pop times of 2.03-2.15. 

9-9-18
A durable 6-foot, 185-pound frame with some strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, and relaxed stance with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a small knee-knock leg kick before launching his hands on a flat path through contact with some bat speed and strength. In BP, shows a gap-to-gap approach with lift and pop, some barrels, impressive late in his round, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.71 60. Receives from slight side on crouch. Throws down with consistent, clean, and deliberate actions. Uses a short arm stroke and over the top slot to delivery the ball with some accuracy at 72 mph with showcase pop times of 2.02-2.15. Also athletic enough to play third base. In the game, was 1-for-3 with a hard hit single.
