10.22.17 - Goddard, now 6-foot-4, 190-pounds and room to add and carry more strength to frame. Continues to improve and develop body control and delivery while he shows some arm speed out front from a 3/4 arm slot. Arm is long and clean in the back with no red flags. Works online with lower half, which he can use more of to help generate from legs. Ball has some life out the hand and should see a spike in fastball velocity as he worked between 78-79. Slower breaking ball at 62 mph with downward action when he gets on top and out front. Big body right-hander that is projectable and with more room to develop, as he continues to trend in the right direction on the mound as command and stuff continues to improve.
10.23.16
Goddard has improved since last time we saw him. More rhythm and tempo out the full windup, starting to use size and leverage more in delivery. Fastball velocity now up to 74 mph with more command to pitch, able to work in and out. Showing signs of improvement with more feel with curveball, still would back up on him at times, getting on the side of the ball, can throw harder. Changeup at best when he keeps arm speed and lets it go. If he can incorporate tempo from full, into the stretch, Goddard will see the benefits as he continues to improve and polish his actions on the mound.

6.29.16
Long and lean frame, the 6-foot-3 Goddard has room to add size and strength. Quiet actions at the plate with small stride and load, line drive guy who creates more power to pull side. Made the plays defensively at first. On the mound, can create a little more energy towards the plate, arm works from 3/4 slot while showing ability to spin a curveball. Will improve from added strength, which will in turn create more fast twitch for Goddard.

3.26.16
Long and lean at 6-foot-3, 172-pounds, room to add size and strength, hits from upright position with small toe tap, can incorporate more of lower half into swing to add more bat speed and power to swing. Defensively, adequate first baseman with proper footwork around the bag, made all the plays and had 72 mph across the diamond. On the mound, three pitch guy, quiet, easy mechanics, arm is clean in the back,  fastball topped out at 74 mph, threw for strikes, curveball showed 11/5 shape and had a straight change from 65-67 mph with some fade when down.
